ESTEQ is a proud sponsor of Volkswagen Racing

ESTEQ has been involved with Volkswagen Racing since 2003.  ESTEQ sponsor the design engineering team with our software: Solid Edge, NX  and Teamcenter.  The sponsored software is used by the Mechanical and Electrical Engineers at the Volkswagen Racing plant in Uitenhage. 

Volkswagen Racing has shown that these software adds value to their product lifecycle – they have won the national Rally Championship for four consecutive years and ended the 2008 season by claiming 1st, 2nd and 3rd position – owning the podium!  Volkswagen Racing is ready to defend their title in the 2009 National Rally Championships.


F1 In Schools

ESTEQ is a proud sponsor of F1 in Schools

F1 in Schools is a competition that is open to all SA based secondary schools and colleges.  The F1 Teams have to design and manufacture compact gas cylinder powered model racing cars.  To determine the best engineered and fastest car in the competition, the student teams compete against each other in a national championship.

ESTEQ’s first involvement is in the design process.  The students design the cars by using sponsored Solid Edge software.  Solid Edge is a CAD (Computer Aided Design) tool and ESTEQ is the South African distributor of Solid Edge.

This program is integrated with the curriculum that is used by schools in SA  - it is outcome based.  Practical links between education and the industry are created while students are encouraged by physically do something that can help them somewhere in the future.
